Where did Bob first meet Ivan and Ruby in the novel, The One and Only Bob?

The Exit 8 Big Top Mall is the place where Ivan, Bob, and Ruby first met. The mall is the main setting for the first book in the series, but in this novel it only exists in flashbacks to Bob's past.
