Who are James and Dorothy? What is their position in the Furnivall household? How does James feel about the Furnivalls and about Dorothy?

James and Dorothy are servants in the Furnivall household. They are husband and wife. James believes the Furnivall's are great people. He has been with them most of his life. He has a tendency to look down on Dorothy because prior to their marriage she had only worked for a farming family.
