Mr. Webster B. Willow is a newly ordained minister. He wants to do well, but he is a naive young man, who is unable to deal with the chaos of a big city. This becones evident when a pretty woman targets Mr. Willow in a con to steal his money, and Mr. Willow falls for it, despite Homer's protests. Mr. Willow ends up penniless and in the army in the hopes of righting his wrongs.
