In the beginning of Chapter 9, how did Edward feel once he had realized he had become Susanna?

In the beginning of Chapter Nine, Edward is uncomfortable with the changes of being a girl..... he doesn't like the dresses. He is, none-the-less, happy to be free from life at the bottom of the ocean.
