What was Kelly's father's demeanor and his outlook on life?

He always paid more attention to the positive than to the negative. When Kelly was in high school, George took over the chore of getting her and her brothers up in the morning. He was so positive about the wonderful world that was waiting out there for them that he made waking up a pleasant experience.
