What did Kelly do in an attempt to help her children understand the baldness brought on by chemotherapy treatments?

Kelly hadn't lost her hair yet but her oncologist assured her she would. Kelly met with Susan, a psychologist, to learn the best ways to deal with her children during her illness. So the girls wouldn't be startled at her impending baldness, Kelly had a friend shave her hair right in front of the girls who actually had fun during the event.
