Who is Rachel (Rachelle) from the novel, The Man Without Qualities II: The Like of It Now Happens?

Rachel grew up in a family that did not have much money. There was a dramatic crisis during her teen years because she became pregnant by a man who had seduced her. She was cast out by her family because of it. After many travels she found her way to Diotima's service. Diotima adores her, calls her Rachelle, and employs her as her personal maid. Rachelle loves Diotima in return and is very loyal.
