Christina learns to live a sort of life through various alternative accommodations. She learns to move by using her eyes, although she must concentrate intensely on each body part while she moves it. In this way, slowly but surely, Christina regains enough motor ability to return home with her children and maintain her job by working from home. She refuses to resign herself to her condition and instead choosing to fight against it.
