What disappointed Piper about her father?

Piper's father is a famous movie star who can never give much attention to her. Most of the time she feels abandoned and ignored. She longs for a normal family and a normal father-daughter relationship. She acts out in order to get his attention, but instead, he only seems disappointed and tired. Piper would even prefer it if he yelled at her. That would at least be better than being ignored.
