How does Piper's father react to the news that she is a demigod?

Piper tells her father the truth about who she really is and everything she has been through. She explains that her mother was Aphrodite and that she is a demigod with a quest to save the world. At first Piper's father reacts very badly, crying and unable to accept everything he has seen and heard. He is like a small frightened child, and Piper cannot believe that her strong, confident father is behaving like this. However, as things begin to sink in, he manages to talk to Piper about everything.
