What happens to Lancelot when he arrives at the castle where the Grail is kept in the novel, The Light Beyond the Forest?

When Lancelot finally arrives at the castle where the Grail is kept, he is unable to enter because he is stricken and lies paralyzed outside. More worthy knights are permitted to see the holy vessel or drink from it, but Lancelot is no longer considered worthy.
