Erasmus chronicled the vision he received from the fruit in his notebook, including that the men at his club were changing into animals, some with monkey faces and other with rat teeth. He, himself, developed fangs and fur and was horrified when Faith appeared in the study because he didn't want her to see him in that condition. Then Faith skin split and showed the scales beneath. Erasmus reveals that this is the moment Faith appeared in the study. He resumed the vision and wound up in water, surrounded by nothing but tiny motes.
