What steps does Faith take to make people believe that her father's ghost remains at Bull Cove?

Faith switches the wires, so that when she rings the bell to summon the servants, the servants will believe the bell was pulled from Erasmus's room. She then cuts his rope so no one can test it. She also burns a bit of his pipe tobacco on a candle, leaving the odor in the air, after which, she rips the fabric covering a mirror and leaves a Bible open to a verse about vengeance.
