Who is Pat?

Pat is the trader who often visits Briar Farm to collect eggs, vegetables, cream and butter from Kathleen, and then from Jackie and Chrissie, to sell in town. Pat overhears William and Tina asking at a pub if anyone knows of a McBride who live on a small farm. He visits the bed and breakfast where William and Tina are staying to tell them he knows William’s mother.
