Who is Jackie Creevy?

Jackie Creevy is the young man who came to live with Kathleen after his parents both died of consumption. He is working there when Chrissie is sent there because she is pregnant. Jackie is immediately attracted to Chrissie. After Kathleen’s death, Jackie insists that Chrissie stay at the farm and move into his aunt’s bedroom even though Kathleen willed the farm to Jackie. After she has her baby and gives him up for adoption, Chrissie returns to the farm where Jackie tells her that she is welcome to stay. Even though the two make a home out of Kathleen’s house together, it is only after Chrissie learns that Billy and her mother did not betray her in the way she felt they had that she decides that it is time for her to make things right with Jackie and marry him.
