Rick’s Bruised Knuckles symbol of?

Rick’s bruised knuckles are a symbol of his dishonesty. When Tina first regains consciousness he lies and tells her that she tripped and hit her head on the banister. When she regains her memory, she remembers Rick hitting her. He continues to lie to her even though his bruised knuckles tell the real story.
