Importance of Billy’s Letter

Billy’s letter represents interrupted love. A variety of factors conspired against Billy and Chrissie and kept them apart. Because Billy reacted so badly when Chrissie told him she was pregnant he wrote this letter to apologize. Thanks to Dr. Skinner, Chrissie did not get the letter until 35 years later when Tina and William delivered it to her.
