What is Porch Bench?

The porch bench symbolizes the former state of Hannah’s relationship with Owen, idyllic and trusting. Every weekend, they would sit on the bench together, drinking their morning coffee and catching up on the events of the previous week. It symbolizes a time when they would communicate and share their feelings with each other, but was perhaps only a façade for all of Owen’s secrets.
