What are Opera Records

In "The Bridge," the narrator's grandfather's opera records -- which he finds in his deceased uncle Ramón's house -- come to symbolize the continuing arc of the narrator's family history. By listening to the records in the wake of Ramón's tragic death, in Ramón's house, the narrator is able to contextualize and locate an aesthetic backdrop for his grief.
