What does Alec warn Mark about as they set out on their rescue mission in Chapter 53?

Alec tells Mark to not let anyone take the Transvice from him, and to not let them get close enough to take them. They then sprint down the road. While most of the infected people are further away, there are enough closer to them to make things difficult.
