Who is Mink Morris from The Illustrated Man and what is their importance?

Mink is the Morris' daughter in the story, Zero Hour. She is described as an active child, who behaves normally for her age, but it's her age that leaves her open to alien communication. Over the course of the story, Mink's game of invasion becomes the real thing, and her participation allows the aliens access to Earth. Mink is too young and innocent to see the repurcussions of her actions..... which is exactly why the aliens chose her for the task of building the gateway.
