THE HUNDRED DRESSES: How is Wanda different?

Unlike most of the other girls, Wanda lives in a poor neighborhood with her father and brother. She doesn't have a mother. She is not readily accepted, and she doesn't really know how to fit it. She also wears the same faded blue dress to school every day.
