The Hostage
How do Teresa and Meg feel about Monsewer in the play, The Hostage?
.
.
Teresa reveals her contempt for Monsewer, saying he must be insane to believe that the death of a young man like the soldier is a good thing. Meg tells her Monsewer is a great man, adding that the prisoner himself said he was glad to die. Teresa insists that it will be a shame, but Meg tells her to stop thinking about it, saying there's no need to mourn him before it becomes necessary.
