One major theme in The History of the Church from Christ to Constantine is God's triumph over. Eusebius believed that God is deeply involved in the sufferings and triumphs of the church, and that He sent his son to die for the sins of all. He also believed that God is directly involved in miracles, punishing and rewarding groups on Earth, and as having a direct hand in the annointment and fall of Emperors.
