Who is Michael Lucas from The Gun Seller and what is their importance?

Michael Lucas is employed by Russel P. Barnes and Mr. Murdah. He tries to warn Thomas to be careful, but Murdah will shoot Michael and let him die in the floor without resistance. Later in the story, Murdah uses Michael's name to move money around for the Graduate.
