Why does Raju decide he has to stay at the temple?

Raju decides he must stay at the temple because he really has no where else to go. Also, at the temple, he is cared for and provided food for basically no work. He knows that deal does not exist elsewhere and he may not be able to find food, shelter, or work if he leaves.
