How is Brady convinced to fight in The Great White Hope?

Brady at first rejects the idea of fighting, but he faces intense pressure from Fred, Cap'n Dan, and in particular, from Smitty. Cap'n Dan tells Brady the whole country is going to feel let down if Brady continues to refuse. Brady, carrying his championship belt, says that he'll do the fight. Goldie and Fred shake hands as Brady makes racist comments about how he's looking forward to a win.
