Born in England, David Jones was an English-Welsh artist and writer. He began drawing at an early age because his father was an artist. David attended the Camberwell Art School prior to the war and the Westminster School of Art after the war. During the war, he served in the royal Welch Fusiliers, and he served at the front from December, 1915 to March, 1918. Among his works are In Parenthesis and The Anathemata. After the war, Jones joined an artist's colony in Sussex where he lived for several years.
