Who is Gypsy Women from The Grass Harp and what is their importance?

Dolly meets the gypsy women when they're staying in her father barn. They've stopped in the barn because one of them is in labor, and Dolly assists them with the birth. As a thank you, one of the women gives Dolly the recipe for a cure to dropsy.
