Who is Luvenia Lewis from The Glory Field?

Luvenia is Elijah and Goldie's oldest child. We meet Luvenia when she is sixteen-years-old, in the year 1930. She is bright, intelligent, and wants to go to college, as well as to live in the city. Luvenia does move to Chicago where she opens successful beauty parlors. She never marries and has no children.
