What was the first memory Margery had?

Margery's first memory was of sitting under her mother's kitchen table and watching as her father slugged her 14-year-old brother Jack across the room and knocking out two of his teeth. Her mother then threw a kitchen chair at Margery's father. The fight only stopped when Papaw O'Hare came with a rifle and threatened to blow Frank O'Hare's head off if he did not stop.
