In Chapter Three, how did Alice suggest that Izzy ride a horse?

Izzy had difficulty mounting a horse, so Alice suggested that she take off her brace and special boots so she could wear regular riding boots. Then Izzy could mount on the other side of the horse using her good leg. Reluctantly, Izzy agreed and was able to mount the horse.
