Why does Jonas feel powerless and alone when Fiona and Asher ride off on their bicycles?

In context, Jonas' position as the Receiver has isolated him from his friends. Prior to this, he was isolated in the same way they were... by the rules of the community. As Receiver, he is isolated even more because he is unable to share.
