What is the rising action?

The rising action in the novel, The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die, includes Cady's visit to the police station, where she meets Officer Dillow. Afterward, Cady goes to McDonalds where she meets Ty. Cady and Ty later find out that Officer Dillow is dead. After learning of Officer Dillow's death, Cady learns that her aunt is in town visiting..... and she proceeds to find her aunt and share everything that happened. Her aunt's advice?
