Who is Pudi from the book, The Girl Who Smiled Beads?

Pudi was Claire and Clemantine's brother. While growing up in Kigali, Clemantine was closest with Pudi. After she and Claire left Kigali, Clemantine constantly longed for Pudi. Over the years she collected rocks that she planned on giving him when they were reunited. Years later, their mother called to say Pudi was very ill. Shortly thereafter, he died. He was the first person Claire and Clemantine mourned.
