In Part 3, Section 15, why does Mr. Wrayburn regret his having been hospitable to Fred and Daisy after their biking accident?

Mr. Wrayburn regrets having been hospitable to Fred and Daisy after their accident because now Daisy is living in his attic. She is seeing Fred without benefit of a chaperone. Mr. Wrayburn is worried about the possible outcome between Fred and Daisy.
