What does Catherine say that makes David uncomfortable in Chapter 17?

After lunch, Catherine tells him the girls have talked about it, and Catherine wishes they could all sleep together. She fumbles the explanation, though, and it seems all wrong. The discussion makes David feel very uncomfortable.
