Leutnant (Lieutenant) Wollers takes over the command of the company in which Sajer serves following the death of Hauptmann Wesreidau. He seems to have been within the company prior to taking command. Wollers' command is marked by constant combat, insufficient supplies, and contradictory orders. Wollers enjoys the confidence of his men, and he proves to be an able leader.
