He and Elijah Muhammad make their farewells, and then as he's being driven, the author talks with the driver (a young black man) about the Nation of Islam's goals, returning to the question of how they will become a reality. They reach no solutions but just as they're arriving at the destination the driver comments that nothing will ever again be the way it was.
