How does Hazel perceive Augustus’s feelings for her in Chapter 6?

Hazel thinks that Augustus's feelings for her are an extension of what he had felt for Caroline before she died. Hazel subconsciously believes that Augustus is trying to replace Caroline with Hazel. This explains why he's giving his wish to Hazel.
