How does Antonia spend her time her first year in high school?

Antonia studies with enthusiasm. She does not like the hallway rush at school, but she finds refuge in the library and her textbooks. She studies hard and reads voraciously. In the afternoons, she washers her mother's dishes and gets supper on the table.
