Comment on point of view

The point of view of this novel is first person omniscient. The author moves from character to character, always knowing what each character is thinking or knowing and able to move in time with absolute knowledge of both the past, present, and future of each of his characters. The author in this novel also uses the authorial voice in which he speaks for himself throughout the novel, creating another character in himself as the narrator. The author often interrupts the narration in order to make some comment that either clarifies or further explains the current action, using the authorial voice technique in order to further enhance the story and to also give it the feel as if the reader is sitting in a medieval court listening to a story for entertainment, as well as educational value.
