Why did Nathuram Vinayak Godse shoot Gandhi? Describe the end of Gandhi's life.

Godse could not understand why a Hindu Mahatma protected Moslems and even read from the Koran at prayer time. When Gandhi stepped on the prayer stage at 5 pm on January 30, 1948, Godse shot three bullets into the Mahatma. Gandhi murmured only God's name and died.
