What did Winston Churchill think of Gandhi? Why?

Winston Churchill was reviled by the appearance of equality between the Prime Minister and what he termed the half-naked, seditious fakir from India. In reality, Churchill was not concerned about Gandhi's appearance; he sensed the growing acknowledgment that India would win its freedom.
