Gandhi's personal life was not as successful as his public life. Gandhi was not a perfect husband nor father. Although he loved his wife, he did not have much contact with her. Of his four sons, one became a drunkard and converted to Islam. Two of the sons had little to do with him. His youngest son worked with him when asked. He had not given his family much attention. He didn't have time--Gandhi's passion was to help the poor people of India.
