Who is Mlle Louise from The Diary of a Country Priest and what is their importance?

Mlle Louise serves as the governess at the Chateau. Her employers are happy with her work, but she is none-the-less, regularly tormented by their eldest daughter, Chantal. It is suspected that Chantal learned about an alleged affair between her father and governess and acted out accordingly.
