Anne, like the majority of teenage girls, is very critical of her mother. She refuses to allow her mother to show her affection, and she bristles when her mother gives her direction. Over time, Anne's view of her mother softens, and she even seems to appreciate her. Anne is, none-the-less, a daddy's girl.
