Who is Charles M. Blow from The Devil You Know: A Black Power Manifesto?

Charles M. Blow is the book’s author. He is Black and was born in Louisiana. In his youth, he dreamed of attending college in a city in the North, but he ultimately decided to attend the historically Black Grambling State University in Louisiana. Blow went on to become a writer for the New York Times. In this book, Blow argues that the best path forward for racial justice in America is for large numbers of Black Americans to move to the South. This migration will allow Black Americans to gain significant political influence in Southern states, and it will also create large regions where Black Americans can find shelter from the racial oppression that is so tragically fundamental to mainstream American culture.
