How does Greg lose his shower before he has finished rinsing out his hair?

Greg loses his shower because his shower stopped, because it was time for another quarter. Greg could not reach the slot or get the attention of someone else to put another quarter in, so he gets out to put the quarter in. Once he is out, the next person in line jumps in the shower before Greg can tell him he is not finished.
