How do the boots get into trouble with their water guns?

The boys use water guns on their retaliatory attack on the teenagers. When the battle ends up in the middle of the camp, the boys decide to use soda and condiments instead of water, as their guns are out of water. These sweet weapons draw the bees. They are in trouble for making a mess of the snack shack and for bringing around a swarm of bees.
